Ben Dunk's MBA Journey
Australian cricket star, Ben Dunk, reflects on his MBA journey with Kaplan Business School
Australian international cricketer, Ben Dunk, has reflected on his experience completing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with Kaplan Business School (KBS), describing the journey as an “awesome experience” that has helped prepare him for life beyond professional sport.
Known for his successful cricket career across the Big Bash League, Indian Premier League, Pakistan Super League, and Australia’s national T20 side, Ben began considering his next career move while playing in the Caribbean Premier League during COVID-19. Through the Australian Cricketers’ Association (ACA) partnership with Kaplan Australia, Ben decided to apply for the MBA program at KBS to further develop his business knowledge and leadership skills.
The transition into study at KBS was seamless and allowed Ben to balance his studies alongside the demands of professional cricket and international travel. “Overarchingly, my experience was really good with KBS, and I'm stoked to have finished it.” said Ben in an interview with the ACA. “The thing that appealed to me as a mature age student was the flexibility. I could do it at my own place and KBS were really supportive.”
Ben complimented the KBS lecturers on their real-world industry expertise and the Student Experience Officers for their help and guidance.
Ben has previously shared about his life as a professional cricketer on the Kaplan Community Podcast where he talked about career demands, wellness, emotional resilience and setting worthwhile goals.
