Q: How do I access the Kaplan library?

A: Our libraries are now open; please check with your local campus about the opening hours. However, you still have access to our expanded online library OpenAthens with dozens of new journals and subscriptions and 600 newly published e-books written by academics and business leaders

Q: How do I log on to OpenAthens?

A: You will receive an email from OpenAthens containing the information required to activate your account. Please ensure your OpenAthens credentials are activated within 90 days of receiving your activation email.

Once activated, you can access the OpenAthens login page by selecting the option at the top and entering the login details provided in the activation email.

Please remember that your OpenAthens login details are different from your MyKBS or KHUB details. If you encounter any issues, please contact the LMS Team at LMS@kbs.edu.au

Q: What is the Academic Success Centre and how can they help me?

A: The Academic Success Centre is a free academic support service available to all KBS students. Our Learning Advisors can support you academically through assessment planning and feedback, study skills and English-language skills.

They also conduct workshops every trimester on a range of critical academic skills such as online research, paraphrasing, note-taking, referencing, essay writing, report writing, and more.

Q: English is not my first language; how can KBS support me?

A: If you are worried about your English language skills, please book a one-on-one consultation with one of our Learning Advisors from the Academic Succes

Q: I have a question about my assessment feedback; who can I contact?

A: Any questions about assessment feedback should be directed to your lecturer. Should you require further feedback, please contact your Subject Coordinator.

For the lecturer's and subject coordinators’ contact details, please access the required subject on MyKBS by clicking on the My Subjects drop-down menu and selecting Contacts on the Subject Home Page.

Q: I have received an email from the KBS Integrity Team about one of my assessments; what does it mean, and what should I do?

A: If academic misconduct is suspected, a student’s assessment might be referred to the KBS Integrity Team. If you have received an email from the KBS Integrity Team regarding one of your assessments, please read the email carefully to understand the type of suspected or detected misconduct and the possible resolutions.

If you would like to challenge academic misconduct or have any questions, please contact the KBS Integrity Team at integrity@kbs.edu.au.

Q: I need help with referencing / assignment writing/study skills; where do I go?

A: If you need help with study skills, you can contact the Academic Success Centre, our free academic support service available to all KBS students. Our Learning Advisors can support you academically through assessment planning and feedback, study skills and English-language skills.
