NEW STUDENTS COMMENCING IN TRIMESTER 2, 2021 RECEIVE $500 COURSE CREDIT!!*

Despite the situation with COVID-19 slowly improving in Australia, we understand that many students commencing study in 2021 will face hardship. We are committed to ensuring both your wellbeing and success at Kaplan Business School, so we will provide a New Starter Support package for new students commencing in Trimester 2, 2021. This includes:


COURSE CREDIT FOR NEW STUDENTS

We will provide a $500 course credit to be applied to your fees when you accept your T2 2021 Offer of Admission as of Friday, 16 April 2021, commence your course and enrol in a full-time study load in Trimester 2, 2021.


NO INCREASE IN 2021 FEES

As COVID-19 continues to impact us, we’ve made the decision to not increase our fees in 2021. We understand the financial pressures all our students are currently facing are not short-term and we hope this decision allows our students assurance in studying with Kaplan Business School into the new year and until the beginning of 2022.


EXTERNAL FINANCIAL SUPPORT AND AID

Beyond the financial support measures Kaplan Business School is offering, there are a number of state and federal government authorities, along with a wide range of community-based organisations, offering extensive financial assistance and support. We’ve collated these to make them easy for you to access. We will keep this list updated regularly. Please note, all external websites and services are subject to change. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS FOR NEW STUDENTS


Q: Can a new student make payment minus the New Starter Support during orientation with an accepted offer of admission?

A: Yes, when the student is enrolling in a full-time study load on KHUB.


Q: What happens to the New Starter Support with enrolment deferrals?

A: The New Starter Support does not carry over to another trimester if a student defers.


Q: If a student accepts with payment of a single subject deposit, will the New Starter Support be deducted in the second/final payment prior Orientation on KHUB?

A: Yes, when the student is enrolling in a full-time study load on KHUB.


Q: If a student has already accepted and paid total fees for Trimester 2 2021 (prior to the announcement of New Starter Support), will the New Starter Support still be applied to Trimester 2 tuition fees?

A: No. The New Starter Support will not be applied. The New Student Support is available to new students who accept their T2 2021 Offer of Admissions on or after Friday 16 April.


Q: What constitutes a full-time study load for Trimester 2?

A: Refer to the Study Loads for International Students document on our website for more information about study loads.


Q: Does the New Starter Support apply to the Postgraduate Qualifying Program, including those students who receive RPL and are required to study less than 5 subjects?

A: No, as a student enrolled in the Postgraduate Qualifying Program already has other discounts applicable.


Q: Does a student need to have their offer letter re-issued to show they will enrol into a full -time study load in Trimester 2 if their current offer shows a reduced study load, or can they enrol into further subjects during Orientation to receive the New Starter Support?

A: A new offer letter is not required in this case. The student can enrol in a full-time load during Orientation week and the New Starter Support will be applied.


Q: If a student has already received their confirmation of enrolment for Trimester 2 with a reduced study load can they enrol into additional subjects during Orientation to meet the full-time study load requirements to receive the New Starter Support?

A: In the case that a student has paid tuition fees for a reduced study, if they continue with the reduced study load they would not be eligible for the New Starter Support. However, if they choose to enrol in a full-time study load during Orientation, KHUB will allow them to select additional subjects and they will be required to pay the remaining amount. The New Starter Support will be on their KHUB account and it will be deducted when they finalise the payment only if they accepted their T2 2021 offer as of Friday, 16 April 2021.


Q: Is the amount of New Starter Support credit dependant on the campus I enrol with?

A: No, all eligible students to KBS in Trimester 2 will receive a $500 credit towards their tuition fee.


Q: What happens if a student subsequently requests and is approved a reduced study load?

A: The New Starter Support credit will be removed and the student will be required pay the full tuition and other fees applicable to a reduced study load.


Q: What are the complete set of Terms & Conditions for new students?

A: Terms & Conditions for new students are:

1. The New Student Support credit of $500 is available to new students enrolled in a full-time subject load commencing in Trimester 2, 2021, who accept their T2 2021 Offer of Admissions on or after Friday 16 April.

2. The New Student Support credit will automatically be applied to the new student’s account upon commencement.

3. The New Student Support credit is only available to students who enrol in a full-time subject load for Trimester 2, 2021.

4. The New Student Support credit is only applicable for Trimester 2, 2021 and will not be carried over to a future trimester.

5. The New Student Support credit will only be applied as a one-off reduction per student.

6. The New Student Support credit will not be applicable to students who already receive a scholarship of 30% and above.

7. The New Student Support credit will be applied for new students at Orientation week (8 July 2021) for when they subject enrol.

8. If the First Trimester Tuition Fee has already been paid in full, the New Student Support credit will not be refunded, but the pre-paid fees can be carried over to be used against Trimester 3, 2021 tuition fees.


Q: What aspects of the new starter support apply to re-enrolling students?

A: The new starter support is designed to help new students start with KBS during what is an uncertain period of time. Despite this, the $500 credit is the only thing that doesn’t apply to re-enrolling students. The freeze to 2021 fees and the external financial support and aid is also available to re-enrolling students.
