Bachelor of Business (Finance)

COURSE OVERVIEW

To graduate with the Bachelor of Business (Finance) you must complete a total of 24 subjects:

  • 16 core subjects
  • 8 elective subjects
  • Core subjects
  • Electives

COURSE CREDIT

You may be eligible for exemptions for academic studies you have previously completed. If your application is approved, this will reduce your overall workload. However, there may be visa-related consequences associated with a shorter course duration.

DOMESTIC STUDENTS

We take into account the academic results or equivalent for:

  • International Baccalaureate (IB)
  • Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR)
  • Overall Position (OP)
  • Academic letters of recommendation and other relevant results.

A minimum ATAR of 55 is required for undergraduate courses in Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide or the equivalent OP for Brisbane.

If you do not meet the minimum requirements, we offer alternative entry pathways for you to start your tertiary education. Meet with a Course Advisor to discuss your career goals.

INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

Academic Requirements

Students must meet the admission standards set by the Academic Board, which are currently as follows:

  • The minimum age for entrance into undergraduate courses is 18.
  • Entry into Diploma courses requires successful completion of Year 12 or equivalent schooling or Certificate IV or equivalent. Entry into the Bachelor-level courses requires an ATAR of 55 or equivalent.
  • Mature-age entry (over 21 years of age) can be made without minimum educational requirements. However, applicants are required to demonstrate the capacity to meet course requirement and may require an interview with the School.
  • Applicants may also be allowed direct entry through an approved articulation agreement.
