Nila, as she likes to be called, has been an accounting teaching academic for more than 10 years at Macquarie University. Prior to this Nila worked for a variety of companies specializing in management accounting and administration. In her earlier professional life Nila was a secondary teacher and a research assistant at the University of Melbourne in the Department of Medicine. Nila has therefore returned to teaching in academia after a period of work bringing with her the practical experience that assists her students to understand the practical applications of accounting theory to real world situations. Nila has presented at a number of conferences and have developed a range of teaching materials and texts which are in use at institutions such as Macquarie Unviersity. At KBS she is lecturer in charge of Financial Accounting and Accounting Principles.
