This subject provides students with an introduction to accounting and its role in providing information for both external and internal decision making. Students are introduced to key aspects of financial accounting such as financial statement preparation and analysis. Students are also exposed to management accounting concepts including budgeting, cost-volume-profit analysis and cost behaviour. This subject allows students to appreciate the place of accounting within a modern economy.
