This subject will synthesise all that students have learned throughout their postgraduate Business Analytics course. Students will additionally gain insight into how data analytics technologies may disrupt and improve the environment and current practices in existing industries. Students will then undertake an applied research project involving a literature review, the iterative application of analytics to industry data and the presentation of actionable industry insights. Students will also be asked to evaluate ethical, privacy and security issues relevant to their research project. Students will regularly consult with their workshop facilitator throughout the study period. The role of the subject coordinator and/or workshop facilitator will be to emphasise supportive guidance and coaching, rather than prescriptive teaching, to align with capstone pedagogy.
