This subject provides students with an opportunity to self-reflect and engage in critical thinking since becoming a successful leader, irrespective of gender, necessitates an understanding of one’s self. Students will be taught a variety of critical theories such as self-efficacy and self-determination theory, that are premised on the notion that self-leadership is just as important as the leadership of others. This subject covers the ways in which individuals’ behaviour is influenced in the workplace; how they can cultivate a personal brand that is authentic and compelling; and how to increase self-confidence and resilience.
