HAT203 Hospitality and Tourism Management This subject examines the key management aspects of hospitality and tourism utilising the core management functions of organising, planning, controlling and directing. In this subject, students will examine operational procurement, human resource management and financial management of hospitality, tourism and their associated services. In addition, the operational constraints in managing quality, decision-making and problem-solving in hospitality and tourism management will be examined. Consideration of the role of management systems and processes and how hospitality organisations monitor performance and maintain financial control are also highlighted.
