Campus Resources
The School campus consists of classrooms, student lounge and study areas, staff and administrative offices, computer suites, student kitchen and computers at a ratio of 1 to 4 students.
IT & Resources
Kaplan Business School offers a modern study environment with fast and convenient IT access. Students have access to the School's email, internet and student intranet and may contact the IT help desk for assistance with software training and IT guides.
Library Access
Students have access to resources at selected local university libraries, as well as access and membership to an extensive online library.
Orientation Program
During orientation, students are provided with information regarding:
- Student support services
- Legal services
- Emergency and health services
- Complaints and appeals processes
- Student visa conditions relating to course progress and/or attendance.
Orientation will also provide students the opportunity to look around the campus, meet staff and mingle with future classmates.
Social Experience
A number of fun and interesting social events will also be held throughout the school year. Upcoming events are advertised on the student intranet, the website and in the campus common room. Family members and children of students are encouraged to attend on these occasions.
Services for under 18 Students
Student Services staff meet with under 18 students on a regular basis to ensure they are managing well in their new environment with respect to accommodation, finances, friendships, health, studies and family contact. Staff are aware of the additional challenges faced by younger students and are available to listen and provide guidance. Kaplan Business School staff take their responsibility to minors very seriously.
Individual Tuition Programs
Kaplan Business School provides individual tutors in a variety of course areas to assist students requiring extra help with their studies.
Academic Counsellors
Our academic counsellors closely monitor the progress and performance of Kaplan Business School students and assist with any issues related to managing their study and workload. Our counsellors assist students with decisions regarding pathway opportunities to careers and university study and advise students regarding the units best suited to achieve their desired outcome.
International Student Services
For international students it is a condition of an Australian student visa that students obtain Overseas Student Health Cover. This currently costs AUD$360 per year. Student Services staff will assist you with renewing your overseas student health cover and providing you with information about the claims process. International students may also face issues regarding accommodation, cultural differences, homesickness or language barriers. Kaplan Business School student welfare staff are always available to discuss these issues with international students.
