Diploma of Commerce

Successful students in the Diploma of Commerce will graduate with a credential in business and the opportunity to proceed onto the second year of the Bachelor of Business or another bachelor degree at a recognised Australian university.

Upon successful completion of the Diploma of Commerce, you will be able to:

  • explain the broad economic, social, regulatory and ethical environment in which business operates
  • demonstrate fundamental knowledge of business concepts and practices, across a range of business disciplines
  • analyse a range of common economic situations using key economic theories, principles, models and laws
  • apply core management and accounting principles to the analysis of current business and accounting practices
  • communicate effectively in a range of business environments and with people from diverse backgrounds

Pathways

  •  Successful graduates will have the opportunity to proceed into the second year of our Bachelor of Business degree with credit for all first year subjects
  • Credit transfer arrangements are also in place with other Australian universities.
     

Note: Students intending to complete the Accounting stream of the Bachelor of Business, upon completion of the Diploma of Commerce, will be required to study particular compulsory units of study and their electives will be limited.
